Dr. Robert H. Hu is a Professor of Law and Director of the Sarita Kenedy East Law Library at St. Mary’s University School of Law. He is also co-director of the Institute on Chinese Law & Business at the law school. Professor Hu joined St. Mary’s University School of Law on June 1, 2005.
Before that he had worked at four American law schools: The College of William & Mary (1993-1997), Wake Forest University (1997-1999), Gonzaga University (1999-2000) and Texas Tech University (2000-2005).
主讲内容:
This speech will give a brief introduction to the legal education in the United States, along with some personal observations. It will cover topics such as the history of law schools, current situation of legal education, typical degree programs and requirements, admissions standards, law student employment prospects, law school governance, law school rankings, and the role of accreditation agencies (the ABA and AALS). The talk will also address the realities and challenges facing American law schools and legal education.
